This mixed-use building in Washington Heights consists of a cultural center and office space for Alianza Dominicana, a comprehensive Dominican human service and community development agency, and other nonprofit agencies. Financing is provided by the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Columbia University, the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and BPD Bank, as well as investments in connection with the New Market Tax Credits generated by the project.
Courtlandt Corners II
A mixed-use building in the Bronx consisting of retail space, parking facility and residential rental units. The project was financed by loans from New York City Housing Development Corporation and the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, a grant from New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and brownfields tax credits generated by the developer’s remediation of a portion of the project site. HSE also helped the developer set up a REIT and file a public offering of the REIT in connection with the brownfields tax credits.
East Harlem M/E/C Center – Parcel C
The first phase in the multi-phase Media/Entertainment/Cultural Center in East Harlem is comprised of a two-unit commercial condominium and will contain residential rental units and retail facilities. Development financing is provided by loans from Citibank, N.A., the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development and Housing Trust Fund Corporation, a grant from NYSERDA and an investment from Richman Housing Resources in connection with the low income housing tax credits generated by the project.
