Bedford Courts Buildings I, II & III (Bedford Union Armory)

Bedford Courts is a three-building mixed-use redevelopment of the Bedford Union Armory in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood, that will feature a recreational facility, community event space and commercial space and apartment housing, half of which will be set aside as affordable. Building I is the renovated Bedford Union Armory’s drills shed and Head House. The finished building will contain approximately 108,000 square feet. The space will include a 57,000 square foot community recreation facility with three basketball courts, a 25-meter swimming pool totaling approximately, a flexible multi-sport court, a fitness room. In addition, approximately 51,000 square feet of community facility space and an auditorium will be developed. Approximately 860 square feet of commercial space and related mechanical spaces will round out the project and will include a co-generation power plant. Building II is an 8-story building that will include 61 units of affordable housing and approximately 24,400 square feet of community facility space. Building III is a 15-story building that will include 356 units of mixed affordable and market rate rental housing and a parking garage with approximately 118 spaces.
