This newly constructed purpose-built shelter will serve 200 homeless adult men in the Westchester Square area of the Bronx to be operated by Care for the Homeless, a leading provider of healthcare and homeless services in New York City. The shelter will include state-of-the-art recreation space, a computer lab, a lounge area with TV and board games, and a large dining space where residents will receive three meals per day plus snacks throughout the day. Residents will have access to on-site physical and mental health care services provided by Care for the Homeless which will provide services for residents and will employ direct care staff including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, case managers, housing specialists and recreation coordinators.
